HOST A SCREENING OF ONTOLOGICA!
We strongly encourage people to hold their own live screenings of Ontologica! as a way to generate discussion and promote community around the ideas explored in the film. Screenings can be held in theaters, art galleries, festivals, museums, microcinemas, schools, bars, rooftops, coffee shops, parks, basements, living rooms, and anywhere else you can think of.
If you won't be charging admission, it's FREE to show the film, but we ask that you spend at least $100 at our online store to buy stuff which you can sell, give away, or use to promote the screening. You'll also receive a 20% discount on anything else you buy in bulk.
If you will be charging admission, the cost is $99. You'll also receive a 20% discount on anything else you buy in bulk for the screening. We may also consider offering the film to your event at no cost and splitting the ticket revenues, depending on the situation.
If you'd like for the director to appear and speak at the event(s), you'll be responsible for travel expenses, plus a small fee (depending on the dates and location). If your screening will be in the NYC area, he'll probably do it for free if you're nice to him.
If this is your first time holding an event of this kind, or you need any advice, we have a helpful event hosting guide that we'll be happy to send you.
